Anousha

Anousha is a student of the 12th grade at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, Maharashtra where she studies Economics, Politics, Literature and Language, Mathematics, Hindi and Chemistry under the IB curriculum. A vibrant soul, Anousha comprehends well the troubles of being a woman in the world, and in India in particular, and thus wishes to help her fellow women do better in life through project NAARI. But her vibrance does not end just there, as Anousha is also a trained Kathak dancer.

The struggles of being a woman around the globe and in India, in particular, are well understood by Anousha. Her upbringing in a patriarchal society has exposed her to many injustices and how women are offered fewer opportunities than men. In addition, she has lived alongside four generations in a joint family and has seen how the roles of women have changed through time. Through her witnessing, she has seen women play a variety of roles, from fewer opportunities to express their opinions to now when they lead corporations and manage their homes and families. Through Project NAARI, she seeks to educate more people about women and their rights and support fellow women in their pursuit of a better life.
